Mirage gets 4th seed, will face Rochester Lourdes

The 25th girls’ hockey state tournament will get underway Wednesday, Feb. 20 with No. 4 seed Proctor/Hermantown meeting No. 5 Rochester Lourdes/Dover-Eyota in the Xcel Energy Center at 8 p.m.

The winner advances to meet either undefeated Warroad (26-0-1) or St. Paul United on Feb. 22 at 1:30 p.m. The third place game will be played Friday at 9 .m. The championship game will be played at 4 p.m.

The loser will go to the consolation rounds onThursday, Feb. 21 either 10 a.m. or 12 p.m. The consolation championship game will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. Both games will be played at TRIA Rink at Treasure Island Center.

In other Class 1A action,No. 2 seed Breck, the defending state champion, faces Fergus Falls. No. 3 seed Mound Westonka (22-0-5), the bracket’s other undefeated team, drew Mankato East/Loyola.

Proctor/Hermantown entered the state tournament by defeating Duluth Marshall for the Section 7A championship in Virginia.
